South Okanagan Set To Host Fall Field Day

12.03.15-Inkameep2lgTim Kubash, Master Superintendent, President of the CGSA and Superintendent at Salmon Arm Golf Club in British Columbia has announced The Spirit Ridge Resort and the NK'Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course in Osoyoos, British Columbia as the host property for the 2012 CGSA Fall Field Day national championship.

The event will take place from September 15th to the 17th, culminating with the CGSA national championship golf tournament on Monday September 17th.

"The Board of Directors is extremely excited to invite our members to the south central region of British Columbia", said President Tim Kubash.

"This is a unique environment in Canada. It presents a desert climate and vegetation in a part of Canada well-known for its wineries and warm climate. It also presents a challenging golf course which will be a pleasure to play for all competitors."

Expanded to a championship course in 2001, the NK'Mip course is in symmetry with the elevated land to the north and provides a striking blend of natural contrasts. Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa is located in rolling desert hills with pristine lake views.

Host superintendent, Ken Bruneski is looking forward to the opportunity to host his friends and colleagues from across North America.

12.03.07-inkameep"We hope that all those that travel here to play this great course appreciate the layout and style. We are looking forward to hosting both the CGSA and the BCGSA members for this great annual event. I am positive that anyone who attends will be very happy with the decision to choose our site."

The CGSA Fall Field Day is an annual event that includes the Association's mid-term Board of Directors meeting, a seminar opportunity for Fall Field Day participants and an 18 hole, stroke play golf tournament to determine the Tom Johnston Trophy recipient as the low gross winner of the event. The Toro "Bull" is presented to the low net tournament winner.

Registration information will be available in early April. Please contact Kathryn Wood at the CGSA office (905-602-8873, ext 223) for additional information.
