The Synthetic Sports Turf Field Safety & Maintenance Course

14.05.28-STC.logoSports Turf Canadaâ„¢ and TURFIndustry Inc. have partnered to advance the knowledge and education of Sports Turf Managers in Canada in the areas of synthetic sports turf field safety and maintenance. This one day Sports Turf Canada course, presented by TURFIndustry, will be of interest to those who manage or maintain synthetic sports turf and to those who wish to develop additional knowledge and skills in this subject matter.

    What makes a quality synthetic turf surface
    The construction of a synthetic sports field
    Synthetic turf lifecycle and recycling
    How to test your field for optimal performance and safety
    Learn the precautions you need to take for extreme cold and heat

This course includes a written exam. Participants must achieve a minimum passing grade of 75% to be awarded a Sports Turf Canada Certificate of Successful Completion.

This is also a prequalification for optional Accreditation* by TURF- Industry, testing hands on proficiency with the Clegg Hammer, Triax A-Missile and infill depth testing devices.

Course participants who meet the prequalification for Accreditation may choose to test for same at a later date/location within one year of course participation and payment of the prescribed fee.
