The 50th Anniversary Western Canada Turfgrass Conference and Trade show will take place March 3-5, 2013 in sunny Penticton, British Columbia. Event organization is underway and we will provide further information in the coming weeks via email, Turf Line News magazine and on our website at www.wcta-online.com
You are cordially invited to attend this, our golden anniversary event and we are certain that dollar for dollar, our show is the most valuable turf management educational and networking experience available anywhere. And c’mon, who doesn’t love Penticton!
When we say ‘our show’, it truly belongs to all WCTA members. We’ll need tremendous member turnout to make this conference successful and to ensure continued high levels of WCTA member services we’ve all come to expect. Show highlights include:
reduced cost pre-conference seminar by Tom Serensits, Penn State University Sunday, March 3rd from 1:00pm to 5:00pm
superb, nearly entirely new speaker line-up spanning Monday and Tuesday along with several speakers back by popular demand. CEC points will be available. Full speaker information coming soon
20,000 square feet of exhibitor trade show also spanning Monday and Tuesday displaying everything golf and turf related you can think of, and then some. Watch for a new consolidated schedule with much more dedicated show time and of course come check out the show specials!
Monday Evening Social and Dave Creamer Memorial Hockey Game This event takes place at the Okanagan Events Centre and just keeps getting better courtesy the BC Golf Superintendents Association
Of course there are a lot of other things taking place like the President’s Sunday evening reception, Silent Auction for Turf Research, prize draws and more but if we told you everything now, we couldn’t call this a ‘teaser’!
Seriously though, more information on the conference including complete program and schedule, CEC point availability, social events, exhibits, Annual General Meeting details, etc will be released in upcoming member emails and the December/January Turf Line News. A complete information and registration package will be sent out by the end of November and sign-up will begin immediately.

This is your association and your show so please mark it on your calendars and plan to be there for our 50th!
PS non-WCTA members are always welcome at our events too so feel free to let your colleagues know you’re coming in hopes they will see the value in attending as well.
Thanks and see you in sunny Penticton!
