Q: Who will be at this show?
A: This event draws hundreds of professional turf managers from throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and beyond, who work in a variety of sectors including golf courses, municipal sportsfields, schools and parks.

Q. Why Penticton?
A. A number of factors go into planning a major event like the WCTA Conference and Trade Show. One major consideration is timing, another is the venue among many others. After several years hiatus from Penticton, the WCTA Board decided Penticton would be the perfect location for our 2017 event because it's always been a popular stop on our rotation, it's central, easy to get to and very affordable.
Q. How many CEC points will be available at this year's show?
A. Points application for BC and Alberta is in progress. Point allocations will be published as soons as we receive them.
Q: What is the cost to attend?
A: Pricing is dependent upon choice of various options. Best value is full package early-bird member price of $395 (before Jan 20). All full package registrants may opt-out of the Thursday night social for a $40 savings.

Q: Is lunch included with the pre-conference seminar?
A: Yes, this year all pre-con seminar pricing includes lunch on-site.
Q: Where can I find a list of exhibitors that will be participating in the trade show?
A: A list of exhibitors will be posted by mid-December.
Q: Is there a hockey game this year?
A: You betcha! Organized by Larry Olson and Jeff Bennett, the Dave Creamer Memorial Hockey Game will take place the evening of Thursday, February 16h at the South Okanagan Events Centre. The KPU Turf Club is busy organizing the social side of things that will include local wine tasting and our annual 'Silent Auction for Turf Research'. Ticket is include with all full package registrants.
Q: Is there a golf tournament planned?
A: Unfortunately, the timing is a bit early for golf, even for the Okanagan, however we're working with Apex Alpine Ski Resort to provide discounted ski lift passes for before and after our event.
Q: Why are all the seminar, meeting and social function times different from year to year?
A: Each year, we tweak the show schedule based on feedback and to generally make for an overall better event. Outside factors can often influence this is well.
Q: How much dedicated show time is planned?
A: almost 5 hours.

Q: I'm planning to fly to the conference. How do I get to Penticton?
A: WestJet now has daily flights into Penticton or you can fly to Kelowna and shuttle or car rental to Penticton.

A: Excited, thanks for asking! There is certainly much happening in the turf industry and the WCTA is commited to continuing our efforts in the areas of research, education, networking and advocacy toward betterment for the sake of everyone involved.
