New Turf Line News Digital ‘Flip Style’ and Timing Changes

As of the September 2020 ‘Research Edition’, the WCTA is making formatting and circulation timing improvements to our popular and longstanding communication platform, the Turf Line News (TLN), aimed at benefitting both members and turf industry advertisers looking for quick access to turf management industry information and news.

“In late August, I had a lengthy meeting met with Jeff Sutherland from Inside Golf, our media and communications partner, on a wide-ranging discussion of updates and strategy planning for delivery of future TLN, website, e-newsletter, Member Directory and related communication initiatives,” said WCTA Executive Director, Jerry Rousseau, adding, “Since then, the Board has looked at and directed staff to implement several positive changes.”

Starting immediately, the digital TLN becomes an easy read ‘flip-style’ format, designed to be more visual with larger images and text, mobile-friendly and quicker to get through, especially during busy times of the year.  One-page article previews are linked to wcta-online.com for easy access to complete and in-depth versions of pieces that readers are interested in.

For 2021, the number of print issues increases to three, timed and themed around key dates throughout the year.  Each hardcopy magazine will also circulate as a digital flip version to over 1500 WCTA member and non-member contacts.

Also new for 2021, is a move to a password-protected, digital only Member Directory.  Industry supplier and service provider information will be expanded and also posted to a new section at wcta-online.com for easy access.
