Wood Bay Turf Technologies and Keso Turf to Play Key Role in Alberta Sportsfield Day

The Alberta Sportsfield Day, co-produced by Sports Turf Canada, the Western Canada Turfgrass Association and hosted by the City of Edmonton on Thursday, August 23, just got a little bit bigger and better with two key sponsors who will take part in our afternoon demonstration stations:

All sportsturf management, golf and parks staff are welcome to attend from the local area and beyond.  WCTA/STC members receive a discount with the rate extended to anyone from your facility.

Special note to the locals:
If you’re in the Edmonton and surrounding area, and how do we say this nicely, an event like this has never been held in northern Alberta before and it may be some time before it happens again, so if you work in the world of sportsturf management, don’t miss out!

Also helping make the event possible is the Alberta Sod Growers who are providing the keynote speaker, Dr. Casey Reynolds, formerly of Texas A&M University and now Executive Director of Turfgrass Producers International, and the following:

More about STC and WCTA
Sports Turf Canada was established in 1987 at a meeting held at the University of Guelph to address the need to minimize and avoid turf-related injury on athletic fields. Almost thirty years later the association continues to passionately promote better, safer sports turf through innovation, education and professional programs across the country.

The WCTA is a 700+ member, inter-provincial, not-for-profit industry organization whose purpose is to promote the interchange of scientific and practical knowledge through education, discussion, research and to undertake advocacy relating to the care and management of turfgrass. The WCTA is proud to serve and support a diverse range of professional turf management interests such as golf courses, school boards, municipalities, sod farms, nurseries, landscapers, lawn bowling greens, mechanics, horticulturists and industry suppliers.
