Message from the 2018 Conference Organizing Committee

Welcome to Richmond and our 55th Annual Conference and Trade Show, thanks for coming!  Attending is an investment in your career and supports your responsive, regional turf industry association so that it may support you.

This year’s education theme, ‘What is the Value of Turf?”, is somewhat of an obvious question to those who manage turf throughout the various sectors of our membership, but worth exploring in a variety of ways so that we’re all on the same page and able to better promote the benefits of managed turf within our communities.

To accomplish this, we’ve brought in a wide range of speakers and presenters, close to thirty in total, delivering 45+ hours of education over our three days at the River Rock.  In addition, social events and functions, like our annual President’s Reception and Golf Tourney for Turf Research hosted by Point Grey Golf Course, have been planned to help bring friends and colleagues together to talk all-things-turf and of course the largest turf management industry trade show in western Canada will be at your disposal.

This issue of the Turf Line News will act as your on-site show program so keep it close.  It’s full of event details including education and social function schedules, exhibitor list and tradeshow floorplan, speaker biographies, registration desk hours and more.

Enjoy and take full advantage of your time in Richmond.  We would especially like to thank the hard work of our organizing committee and our local contacts, Steve May from Mayfair Lakes Golf Course and Ted De Crom from the City of Richmond.  We’re being welcomed to their turf with open arms and we look forward to a great event at a new venue!
