More than 700 members strong, the Western Canada Turfgrass Association has been supporting golf course superintendents, sportsfield managers and their respective supply network reliably for over 50 years and remains as dedicated as ever in fulfilling its mandate of ‘Research, Education, Discussion and Advocacy’.

We wish to maintain our history of providing valuable member services, advocating industry issues and working toward growing the turf management industry but to continue, the WCTA needs strong membership commitment.  I ask that you renew your association membership and your commitment to the turf management profession, ensuring our collective strength as a professional not-for-profit industry organization working on your behalf.

Why be a part of the WCTA?
Today, there are multiple association options for turf managers, ie. regional, provincial and national, providing more choices than ever before.  All are mandated to work for the benefit of their members by offering worthy services and programs.

The WCTA is unique however, right out of the gate 10% of member dues go toward funding turf research projects that drive the industry forward.  Problems don’t solve themselves, only by funding research can we come up with solutions!

By maintaining your membership you will ensure access to these beneficial WCTA member programs and services:

• Employment Network Service
• CEC Program - BC Pesticide Applicator’s Certificate Recertification
• The Turf Line News Magazine
• Annual Conference and Trade Show
• Education and networking opportunities

Other benefits include the constant stream of news found at www.wcta-online.com, our annual membership directory and supplier listing, the turfgrass research project funding program, resources like our IPM manual and much more.

If you have any questions regarding membership benefits, programs, activities of the association, becoming a board member, website suggestions etc, please feel free to contact me at jpick@oldscollege.ca.

Sincerely,

Jason Pick
WCTA President
