A New Director for the GTI

Dr. Katerina Jordan, an experienced plant researcher committed to providing leading research and education services in turfgrass science, has been name the new director of the Guelph Turfgrass Institute (GTI) at the University of Guelph. Dr. Katerina Jordan is an associate professor in the Department of Plant Agriculture, where she has been conducting turfgrass research since 2005.

With the onset of spring, our Alberta Turfgrass Research Foundation concludes its 2022/2023 fiscal year on March 31. Timely with our new growing season, members received their annual voluntary renewal invoices April 1st. Thank you to all our contributors, we aspire to show return on your investment.

Since 1973, the Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation has raised and provided funding for turf research projects aimed at advancing education and scientific knowledge associated with the safe, recreational and functional use of turfgrass.

WCTA Supports Turf Managers by Investing In 2023 Research Projects

The WCTA Board is pleased to announce it will continue supporting important and valuable turf research in 2023.  Based on funds raised in 2022, cash available to the Research Committee for new project funding is $20,599.
