Lawrence, Kan. (April 28, 2015) - The membership of the International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association (IGCEMA) voted Monday to dissolve the association, with roughly 370 equipment managers being welcomed to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) with membership in 2015.

First Green continued its work with the Western Canada Turfgrass Association (WCTA), giving about 65 golf course superintendents a 90 minute seminar on hosting First Green field trips at the WCTA annual conference in Victoria, B.C., in March.

The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) has completed the first few stages in its restructuring process and is excited about being able to share with members and the golf community across Canada these initial components of the process that has been titled, "Redesigning the CGSA".

The Alberta Golf Superintendent's Association has seen many changes in the past couple years with the introduction of a Member/Guest Meeting in the fall, the Property Managers Conference moving to Canmore, and the relocation of the Challenge Cup to Copper Point. There is another change that has been looming and the time is in the near future.

First Green announces it has been awarded a $112,250 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) grant by the United States Golf Association (USGA) for 2015. The grant is funded by the USGA’s partnership with Chevron and designed to encourage students in science, technology, engineering and math disciplines through the world of golf.
