John Deere Announces Greenstart Academy

PrairieCoast Equipment and John Deere Golf are pleased to announce the 2012 Green Start Academy. This career development program provides selected assistant superintendents the opportunity to network with peers and discuss trending topics and key issues with industry experts.

To be considered for GSA, assistant superintendents are required to complete an online application and essay by June 29 ,2012, from which 50 participants will be selected by the superintendent advisory council to attend the event.

This year’s advisory council includes: Ken Mangum, director of golf course and grounds, Atlanta Athletic Club, Johns Creek, GA Bob Farren, grounds and golf course manager, Pinehurst Resort, Pinehurst, NC Pat Finlen, director of golf maintenance operations, The Olympic Club, San Francisco, CA Jeff Corcoran, manager golf courses & grounds, Oak Hill Country Club, Rochester, NY Paul Grogan, director of golf course maintenance operations, TPC Deere Run, Silvis, IL
