Vancouver Island Sports Field Day May 8th, 2013 at Royal Athletic Park
The WCTA, in conjuntion with the City of Victoria Parks Division, is proud to support and present, the VANCOUVER ISLAND SPORTS FIELD DAY taking place May 8th, 2013 at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, BC. RAP is home to the Victoria HarbourCats Baseball and Victoria Highlanders Football Club and the Field Day is a free educational event open to all Sports Field Managers, Operators, Professionals and Field staff.
Educational topics are to include:
Basics of Soil Science and Compaction
Game Day Infield Prep
Moisture and Irrigation System Management
Turf Maintenance and Fertility
Turfgrass Seed Selection for Sports Turf
Pitcher’s Mound Building
A trades and vendor show will be part of the day's activities. CEC points application is in progress.
