Directorship is a very important role, open to any WCTA member in good standing, and takes some volunteer time and effort in giving back to the association and our industry. Directors, elected at the Annual General Meeting by WCTA members present, impact the future direction of our industry and while doing so, learn a lot that assists in their own professional development.
Steering the ship, running the show, being in the driver's seat - these expressions all convey that someone or something needs to be in charge. Being in charge implies a certain level of authority and knowledge that comes with the position. These roles inherently involve leadership although that can be an evolution of sorts.

NOTICE TO WCTA MEMBERS
The Annual General Meeting of the Western Canada Turfgrass Association will be held during our 62nd Annual WCTA Conference and Trade Show taking place at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, British Columbia.
Before introducing the new Board of Directors, we would typically congratulate and thank outoging Directors for their volunteer service to the WCTA. This year however, all faces stay the same although some positions have changed.
