PayPal to be Discontinued
By WCTA Staff
The WCTA will be discontinuing the use of PayPal as a payment option as of August 31, 2026.
WCTA Executive Director, Jerry Rousseau stated, “With our new accounting system in place and working very well, we no longer have a need for PayPal.” He added, “The Board understands some members like PayPal but it’s duplicative and costing the association time and money.”
The August 31st timing gives any unpaid members plenty of time to get sorted before PayPal is shut-down. Of course, there are plenty of other ways to pay a WCTA invoice including:
• Quickbooks secure online payment – simply click ‘Review and pay’ in the email you were sent. This platform accepts debit, credit card (including VISA, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX), Apply Pay and electronic funds transfer from your bank.
• EFT – a lot of municipal members are already setup for this. Send us your form and we will take care of the rest. If you don’t have an EFT form, just let us know who to provide our banking info.
• E-transfer - once invoiced use exec.director@wctaturf.com as the recipient address (auto-deposit is setup so no password is required).
• For cheques, make payable and mail with a copy of your invoice to:
Western Canada Turfgrass Association
Suite #495, 101 – 1865 Dilworth Drive
Kelowna, BC V1Y 9T1
One last thing, please do not send us money without an invoice being generated first. The exception is any research donation, which we’ll gladly accept at any time!
