Turfgrass Pest Priorities for 2025

via Guelph Turfgrass Institute

Minor use commodity liaison committees across Canada are required to review their minor use pest priorities each year. We are attempting to solicit feedback from stakeholders in the Canadian turfgrass industry to determine consensus on the pest priority rankings. This survey does not include synthetic turf.

Please note that a User Requested Minor Use Label Expansion (URMULE) from the Pest Management Regulatory Agency can only be pursued if there is an URGENT or EMERGING pest issue, so this survey will help us understand if the pest priorities have shifted recently.

Your time is valuable, so the survey is as simple as possible. Follow the link below to submit your input for seed, sod, sports turf, golf, research, municipal parks, cemetery, or other uses.  If you would like to vote for multiple uses, please re-open the survey and fill it out again.

Which pests are causing the most amount of damage to turf systems? (no control options currently available, controls are failing, pest populations increasing, economically most expensive to manage, etc)

Your input will not be made public. This survey will close on October 30, 2024 at 11:00 am
