BCLNA has partnered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Invasive Species Council of BC, the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and the cities of Vancouver, Burnaby, Port Coquitlam, and Kamloops to provide this complimentary technical session about the 2025 Japanese Beetle eradication program.

This year, were offering two separate sessions to better serve industry professionals:

- Session 1 (6:007:00 PM)  Introduction to Japanese Beetle and Eradication Program
Ideal for those new to the topic, this session will cover the basics of Japanese Beetle, its impact, movement controls in place, and the history of our eradication efforts. We encourage all those joining from the Kamloops area to participate in both sessions.

- Session 2 (7:158:15 PM)  Updates and Changes to the Japanese Beetle Program
Designed for those who have attended past technical sessions or have been involved in Japanese Beetle efforts, this session provides the latest program updates and regulatory changes including the regulated areas.

Japanese Beetle is an invasive species considered an environmental and economic threat to Canada. Landscape professionals, retail garden centres, nursery growers, suppliers, and others in the industry need to work together under the current regulations to stop the spread of the beetle.
