Fedja Muzur, Northlands Golf Course ($800)
Thank you so much Dooley family, Jerry, Stan, and the rest of the WCTA who made this event and scholarship possible this year. I have finally found my passion and am working very hard to juggle full time work, school, family, and financial life so to get this award is a huge help to me and my family. That was the first turf family event I have been to and can honestly say that I had a blast meeting everyone and networking with industry professionals. I did not have the pleasure to meet Pat, but from everything I’ve heard and seen he seemed like an amazing person. I am honored to get an award in Pat’s name and look forward to playing in many more Pat Dooley tournaments in the near future.
Doug Chadwick, New Westminster Parks ($700)
I would like to thank the Dooley family and the WCTA for hosting such a wonderful event, as well as fundraising for turf research and providing scholarships for students currently enrolled in Turf Management. The entire event was amazing! I am truly honoured to be one of the recipients of the Pat Dooley Scholarship and I look forward to giving back and helping to grow this event in the coming years.
Stanley Ruan, Swan-E-Set Golf Course ($600)
Thank you for the recognition of my overall performance. It is my honor to be one of the Candidates of the Pat Dooley Award. I will continue to work hard to meet a higher standard.I believe that more and more people will be inspired by the passion Pat Dooley had for golf, participate, and contribute more to make this community better and better. Thanks again!
Coleton Besse, The Falls Golf Course ($600)
Thank you so much to all who made this tournament happen. Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of meeting Pat but by all accounts, he sounds like an amazing kid. It is an honor to receive a scholarship in his name. My passion for this industry started much like Pats, it was found when I fell in love with the game of golf as a kid growing up. I have decided to further my career in the golf course industry and this scholarship helps very much as I am working part time while going to school but I am only available to work a few hours a week while taking full time classes.
