Kabuta 400 SC Turf Fungicide Now Registered
KABUTO™ 400 SC Fungicide is now registered and ready to battle Dollar spot.
Guelph, Ontario, May 8, 2015 - Engage Agro Corporation and Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha (ISK) of Osaka, Japan are pleased to announce that Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency has approved the registration of Kabuto 400SC Fungicide for control of Dollar spot on sod farms and golf course turf.
Kabuto 400SC Fungicide contains the active ingredient isofetamid, a new chemistry available in Canada and the first turf registration in North America. “Dollar spot is one of the most common and expensive turfgrass diseases in Canada and Kabuto 400SC Fungicide has proven in research trials to provide powerful control of this potentially devastating disease,” says Justin Parsons, Sales and Account Manager for Engage Agro’s professional turf products.
The new and unique active ingredient, isofetamid, is a fourth generation SDHI (Succinate DeHydrogenase Inhibitors) making Kabuto 400SC Fungicide an excellent product for resistance management.
“Kabuto 400SC Fungicide offers low application rates, a liquid formulation and convenient packaging for quick and easy applications throughout the growing season,” adds Barry Johnson, Marketing Manager for Engage Agro’s professional turf products. “Engage Agro and ISK are excited to offer this new innovation to professional turf managers in Canada.”
