Purchase of Fairwinds Announced July 6, 2015

Bentall Kennedy announces that Vancouver‐based Seacliff Properties Ltd. has agreed to purchase the Fairwinds Oceanfront Community on Vancouver Island. The purchase includes the Fairwinds Golf Course, Schooner Cove Marina, Fairwinds Centre and development lands.

The sale to Seacliff is scheduled to complete on July 31, 2015.

“This is excellent news for the Fairwinds community,” said Russell Tibbles of Bentall Kennedy. “Seacliff Properties Ltd. is an established development company experienced in managing and developing large scale real estate projects throughout Western Canada.”

Seacliff will retain all full and part‐time employees at the golf course, marina and community centre and it will be business‐as‐usual over the busy summer months.

We are hands‐on and action oriented, and our intent is to work with all stakeholders to move ahead with the approved vision for the future of Fairwinds,” said Ian Porter, Director of Real Estate for Seacliff.

Anchored by the Fairwinds Golf Course (a Les Furber designed 6,204 yard course recently voted the #1 Golf Course on Vancouver Island) and Schooner Cove Marina (a 350 berth marina with direct access to world class fishing and cruising in the Strait of Georgia), Fairwinds has 727 existing homesites and development capacity for an additional 2,100 homes on the remaining 750 acres of undeveloped land.
