Japanese Beetle Stakeholder Meeting Held
A meeting amongst industry stakeholders took place January 18 to discuss the Japanese beetle threat in Vancouver and its potential and likely threat of spreading.
Seen as a destructive insect pest to multiple field and ornamental crops, consensus was all affected industries should make recommendations to the Canada Food Inspection Agency, the government body responsible for protecting Canadian ecosystems and agri-business.
The deadline to respond to CFIA was January 20, 2017. For the WCTA’s letter CLICK HERE.
