Subject: RE: Pesticide applicator certificate invigilation - landscape
Hello all,
I have an update that is “hot off the press”. ServiceBC has just announced they have opened up major service centers to writing individual landscape exams. Smaller officers are striving to reinstate full service but availability above essential service categories is still uncertain at several locations. SBC staff indicate people whose certificates expired in March and June can start contacting them to schedule exams and they will do their best to accommodate. They are also contacting those who reached out over the last month or so letting them know about the opportunity.
Please note, we will be delaying widespread posting of this to allow for SBC to catch up on the backlog. As of July 8, we will seek to post this change on our website.
Group exams invigilated by SBC are still not being offered due to the shortage of invigilators registered with SBC’s standing offer. We will be reaching out to invigilators on our list again to highlight the opportunity soon. Feel free to let anyone you know who may be interested in invigilating exams (not just pesticide exams) of the opportunity. We can act as a bridge with SBC or provide their contact info directly.
Of course I am also happy to continue discussing the other issues raised including how best to further develop the recertification program and provide support to your members.
