CTRF Looking for Volunteer English/French/Turf Translator
July 15, 2020
The Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation (CTRF) is looking for a volunteer to provide English to French translation services starting with this post!
The turf translator role might be perfect for an aspiring turf student (looks great on a resume), retired turf professional or anyone in between. Workload is typically light, ie. 6-10 press releases and 2-4 research reports annually, but the initial commitment includes translation of pre-existing web pages and communications.
Since the material is often technical to turf, our volunteer needs to know and understand turf terminology and it will be helpful to know some of the scientific jargon and abbreviations as well.
Start date is immediate and not limited to one volunteer. In fact, a two or more person team would be ideal to assist with proofing.
A formal application process is not required for this role but please send a brief note introducing yourself to CTRF Executive Secretary, Jerry Rousseau at executive.secretary@turfresearchcanada.ca
Merci!
