Message from the President – Summer 2023

Hello and WOW is it dry!!

I hope everyone has seen by now that we have our Fall Field Day coming up Sept 21st, being hosted by Nick Barbour and the District of North Vancouver.  Working alongside Sports Turf Canada, we have an amazing day planned and I hope to see many of you there.  

Also on the horizon, we are headed to Victoria to celebrate our 60th Anniversary Conference and Trade Show!  I am excited to start working with our conference organizing committee to ensure another great opportunity for research, education and discussion for all turf managers at the conference in February 2024.  IF any WCTA members have any areas you think we should explore to continue growing all aspects of the professional turf management industry, please, now is the time to reach out.  

Good luck to all of you with your mid-summer projects.  It has been a challenging summer for our irrigation systems and I hope all of your areas you wish to be healthy stay that way.

I hope to see you all September in North Vancouver!
