STERF 2020 Yearbook
'STERF' is the Scandinavian Turf and Environmental Research Foundation. In 2016, Director of R&D, Maria Strandberg and Chair, Bruno Hedlund spoke at our conference in Whistler. Each year, STERF publishes a comprehensive report, much of it focussing on efforts toward sustainable golf courses and sports fields.

During 2020, STERF started six new projects to ensure that we have the knowledge we need to build and maintain sustainable golf courses and sports fields and meet global challenges, all of them presented in the yearbook. Other important STERF activities were: the international webinar on biodiversity of golf courses and urban grasslands, several instructional and inspirational videos were produced, and the collaboration with The R&A on Golf Course 2030 Scandinavia has been intensified. Another notable observation is that the number of reports, publications and articles was one of the highest in STERF history.
Please let us know if you have any questions or comments related to the yearbook. Your feedback on STERF’s ongoing projects and activities would be very valuable for us. Ideas of potential collaboration, new programmes and projects would also be interesting and inspiring.
Please forward the yearbook to colleagues and friends that might be interested in STERF’s activities and projects. Also feel free to inform about or publish the yearbook on your web-site or in your newsletter.
