OTRF Tournament Day @ St.Georges

On Monday, September 9th, the Ontario Turfgrass Research Foundation held its annual fundraising golf tournament at St. George's Golf and Country Club in Etobicoke and what a terrific day this turned out to be. From the moment participants arrived they were treated to first class service from the historic and highly regarded club.

Golf Course Superintendent Keith Bartlett and his staff had the course in stellar condition as players enjoyed one of the finest layouts in the country. The level of service in the clubhouse and from the Pro Shop was equally impressive as a great day of golf turned into a great evening of camaraderie amongst industry peers.  

 Of course a day like this would not be possible without the help of our many generous sponsors, not the least of which are our platinum sponsors, Green Horizons, Turf Care and Bayer. The goal of this event, as always, is to raise money for turfgrass research. With the help of generous donations from the Golf Association of Ontario, the Ontario Golf Superintendents Association, the National Golf Course Owners Association and the Quebec Turfgrass Research Foundation, as well as the support of all those who attended the event, the OTRF was able to make this one of the most successful tournaments in recent memory.
