Sportsfield TARS Announcement

12.04.23-Riding-mowerjpgThe WCTA has hinted its intention of running sportsfield specific educational events this summer and we are pleased to make the following announcement:

The first ‘Travelling Annual Road Show’ (TARS) – Sportsfield Edition will be held 1:00pm, Wednesday, August 29th at Scotia Bank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver, hosted by Field Manager, Tom Archibald of the Vancouver Canadians.

NTA Puts Together 1-2-3 Punch for Annual Conference

12.04.20-NTA-LogoThe Northwest Turfgrass Association has put together a virtual 1-2-3 punch for its 66th annual conference, set for this fall on Oct. 28-30.   First, Tim Moraghan, the former director of championship agronomy for the USGA, will be the featured speaker both days of the conference. Secondly, legendary Oregon State University researcher and educator Tom Cook will come out of retirement to lead a panel discussion. And thirdly, everything happens at Bandon Dunes, one of the most magical golf destinations in the world.

STA Field Day Update

NTA Conference Offers Education, Fun

The 67th annual conference of the Northwest Turfgrass Association is just around the corner with three days filled with educational opportunities, golf in the sunshine of the Tri-Cities area of Washington and a wine dinner that won’t soon be forgotten. Activities will start on Sunday, Oct. 6 and the conference will conclude on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

TARS Update at July 15, 2012

12.04.23-Riding-mowerjpgThe Travelling Annual Road Show or TARS as it's known to WCTA members, is a series of educational events that take place throughout the regions of BC each summer.  Often these talks are CEC point accredited but frequently topics range far beyond pesticide use.  Talsk have ranged from sprayer nozzle selection and calibration to using trained dogs to chase geese to errant golf ball liability to sustainable management practices and everything in between.
