Every year, the WCTA sets aside up to $2500 for deserving students enrolled in an accredited Turfgrass management. We would like to thank all six 2021 applicants for their submissions; it’s good to know the turf management industry’s future is bright indeed!

February 8, 2021, Olds, AB – Olds College students competed in the annual TurfBowl, an annual event hosted by the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America.
Up to five awards with a maximum total of $2500, are presented annually by the Western Canada Turfgrass Association to deserving students enrolled in a full time Turfgrass Management Program, as chosen by a selection committee appointed by the WCTA. Award value is minimum $500 and winners also receive a free one-year WCTA membership.

KPU has seen a large increase in International students since 2017, just like most other Canadian universities. Some have chosen Horticulture for their educational path and of these, some have discovered the passion of Turf Management that we all share.
