The student summer term at Olds College began on May 15th, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students taking on their field schools, internships and work terms.

This May, eight Langley high school students went to university for a week. For five days, they attended a Langley KPU mini course at the KPU Turf Lab taught by Turf Management Department Instructors Stan Kazymerchyk and Rob Welsh.
Patrick Dooley was a very successful Student Athlete whose true passion was golf. A member at Mayfair Lakes, Pat had hoped to pursue a career in a Turf Management, starting with a KPU Turf diploma.
Spring has sprung in Alberta, our students are preparing to get back on the golf course. Their last day of classes lands on May 4th this year, taking a two week break before all 70 students begin their summer internships.

Winners of the Kwantlen Turf Club 2019 Golf Pass Contest, which raised $3200 for turf research project funding, were drawn at the WCTA Conference and Trade Show and are as follows:
