40 Year Turf Veteran Jimmy Plummer Passes Away
James Cleave Plummer (Jimmy) September 29th, 1933 – December 20th, 2012
James grew up on a small farm in Pitt Meadows, B.C. His early years on the farm developed an incredible work ethic and value system that continued through his entire life. As a young man Jimmy got his start in construction and was soon a self employed carpenter. He learned as much as possible from all the trades he was involved with and was soon very skilled in so many different areas. Jim was truly a Jack of all trades and master of most.

In the last half of June 2012, the Western Canada Turfgrass Association and the Sports Turf Association inked a deal that recognizes the STA as the national body for sports turf managers and sees the WCTA as the conduit for STA members hailing from British Columbia and Alberta.
