Olds College Welcomes 72 Students

Another strong start to the new year, our turf program welcomed a total of 72 new and returning students to campus in January.  Now with over 100 active Olds College turf students in various stages of their learning, we are thankful for the strong support from our regional superintendents and associations across Western Canada who motivate their staff to pursue this most rewarding trade.

The Importance of Being A Positive Mentor; From The Voice of An Intern

No matter the industry which you take on a role as a mentor, there are many important qualities, traits and even sacrifices required in order to have a positive influence on your intern.  Ensuring that you are ready to train the future prospects of the industry and take on this important role is a huge sacrifice for any mentor but can be very rewarding at the same time.

KPU Turf Campus News

This September, five KPU Turf students joined their Instructor for an exciting week grooming for the Senior Tour's "Pacific Links Championship".  Josh Carlsen, Randall Narcisse, Matt Mihal, Brennan Lessick and Jason Morgan worked alongside Bear Mountain crew and 5 KPU Alumni to create a fabulous golf experience for golf's legends.
