In an effort to reach out to industry, the BC Ministry of Agriculture recently informed multiple grower groups that neonicotinoid pesticide contamination was discovered within the Nicomekl watershed in the Langley area of BC’s lower mainland.

The indigenous fungus (Phoma macrostoma) was granted full registration for the sale and use of Bio-Phoma technical Herbicide this past December by Health Canada.

The Pacific Northwest Sports Turf Managers Assocation, representing sportsfield managers throughout Oregon, Washington State and Idaho, and the Northwest Turfgrass Association, supporting golf course superintendents and turf research within similar boundaries, have reached a dual membership agreement and have committed to work together to enhance both industry sectors.
