Over the past week, Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has initiated compliance inspections of several golf courses in British Columbia and other provinces.

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) is undergoing a transformation process that will strengthen its oversight and its protection of public health and the environment. The transformation process will also make the PMRA more transparent to people in Canada.
Recently, we circulated an older post written by WCTA Past President Keith Lyall on the subject of 'How to Report Your Annual Pesticide Use'. Since then, we received a polite reminder that the reporting system has changed since that article was written so we'll give it another go, apologies for any misdirection!

On February 10, 2022, Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Authority, a branch of Health Canada in charge of registering and continuously evaluating the safety and efficacy of pesticides used in Canada, circulated a proposed re-evaluation decision (PRED) for the popular turf fungicide active ingredient, chlorothalonil.
