Final Report: Fungicide Alternative Management Practices for Microdochium Patch

Microdochium patch can be observed year-around in some cool, humid regions, and damages nearly all grass species in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.  Historically, more money has been spent on fungicides to combat this disease in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest than any other turfgrass disease.

NTA Donates $61,000 to Research

12.04.20-NTA-LogoThe Board of Directors of the Northwest Turfgrass Association has voted to donated $61,000 to various turfgrass research and education projects in the Northwest, more than double what was awarded in 2014.

The NTA grants will be spread out over five different research and education programs in the Northwest.

Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation Approves $114,600 in Grants

The Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation (CTRF) has announced a total of $114,600 in turf research funding over a three year period to help fund two new projects.  The announcement follows an eight month process to generate, evaluate and decide on which of 18 project submissions would be funded for the period 2015 – 2018.
